Angel Fairy

Handmade Angel Fairy Doll, made from 20 gauge threaded wire, embroidery floss, wood round bead for the head, and silk flowers for the clothing. Other embellishments include beads, glitter, flowers, etc.  Her body is wrapped with skin color embroidery floss.  To curl her hair, I separated the embroidery floss into 4 strands each and then wrapped the embroidery floss around a chopstick, wet them and put them in the oven at 200 degrees for about an hour.  Let them dry and slide them off the chopstick very carefully.  For the dress, I pulled apart several different flowers and then layered the petals I wanted and placed them on the doll.  Her wings are made from the petal of one of the flowers that I cut in half.  I added gold beads around her waistline and used part of one of the flowers for her hat and glitter the center.

The measurements vary depending on the doll. The size ranges from 5″ to 7″ tall depending on the hat and up to 6″ wide, depending on the flower used.

This doll and others are available for purchase at my Etsy Shop.

Sunflower Fairy Doll

Handmade Sunflower Fairy Doll starts out with 24 gauge fabric covered wire, wooden ball, and embroidery floss.  I used a silk sunflower and other various silk flowers for the dress.  The wings are made with silk leaves.  The hair is made using brown embroidery floss.  I curled her hair by separating the embroidery floss into 6 sets of 4 strands each and twirling 4 strands of  floss around a “chopstick”, spraying them with water and placing them in the oven at 200 degrees for an hour.  The hat is the top of an acorn and embellished using parts of the sunflower.  I added glass beads to the waistline to create the center of the sunflower.

She is approx.  7″ high and 5″ wide.

She and other fairy dolls are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.  The measurements vary depending on the doll. The size ranges from 5″ to 7″ tall depending on the hat and up to 6″ wide, depending on the flower used.  The Fairy Doll comes in a protective clear plastic box suitable for gift giving.

Halloween Topiary

Deco Mesh is all the rage now and I really love making projects with it.   This stunning Halloween Topiary with witch detail stands 29″ tall and 8″ wide.  The topiary sits in an 8″ black plastic cauldron which is weighted for strong support.  I used various color Deco Mesh, ribbons, and floral picks.  I made the topiary form using a dowel and two styrofoam balls, one large and one small. The bow is handmade using wired ribbon.  The witch hat is made from basswood using my Cricut Maker and Design Space.  I painted it black and added the ribbon.

It is finished off with a striking big candy corn printed bow.

Makes a wonderful Halloween decoration or a great Halloween gift.

This topiary is available for purchase at my Etsy shop.

Witch Halloween Tote

This witch Halloween canvas tote measures 15″ wide and 16 1/2″ long (26″ with the handle drop).

I used Design Space and my Cricut to cut the witches stockings and shoes with glitter vinyl.  The image is Witch Shoes #M7C8AD84 from Creepy Critters.  I used two different styles of ribbon and sewed them onto the tote to create the skirt.  I finished it off with a matching bow.

Great to use as a Halloween Tote or Trick or Treat bags for the kids.  You can purchase this tote and other styles in my Etsy shop.

Upcycled Dracula Bottle

So fun to make.  I just loved the shape of this bottle so I didn’t want to get rid of it.  I decided to make something out of it so I removed the labels and washed it out.  Using my Cricut and Design Space I made the label from 651 purple vinyl.  The image is Eye of Newt #M3B675 Monster Bash.

Then, I gathered all of my red crayons and melted them over the bottle to create the bloody effect.  I made the cape using my sewing machine and black satin fabric.  That was a bit of a challenge since I’m not a seamstress!

I just love how it turned out.

This bottle is part of a set that is available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

Candy Cane Girl Christmas Tag

The Tag (#M2FD8D) from Sentimentals was cut 2 times with Design Space and Cricut, once on the red cardstock and then sized a bit smaller for the white cardstock.

The background music paper was pulled from my scrap stash so, unfortunately, i do not know who makes it.

The Candy Cane Girl is an image from Peggy Loves Vintage which I cut with the Cricut using the print then cut feature.

The sprigs are cut using a Martha Stewart punch.

I added the bow, bells and rhinestone flourish accents.

Halloween Potion Bottles

I created these potion bottles using 651 vinyl.  Each image is loaded into Design Space and cut with the Cricut.  The following are the images used:

Witches Brew – 4 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ is M40503 from Happy Hauntings

Potion – 5″ x 3 1/2″ is M408E9 from Happy Hauntings

Skull and Crossbones – 5 3/4 x 2 1/2″ is M2E504 from Teresa Collins Chic and Scary

Poison – 10 1/2 x 2″ is M41B6E from Happy Hauntings

To achieve the old and dusty effect I first sanded the bottles using heavy gauge sandpaper.  Then I mixed brown paint with some water and coated each bottle.  When that was dry, I mixed black paint and water and splattered each bottle.  The web is created using a hair net.

These bottles are available for purchase in my Etsy shop.

This is what the bottles looked like before I added the effects:

Wired Headbands

I made these headbands using the Cricut Maker.  I designed them in Design Space and cut the fabric using the 12″x 24″ mat which made it “sew” easy!!!!!  I wanted to display them so I purchased the styrofoam heads.  I felt the heads were so plain so I added the eyelashes…also made with the Cricut and 651 vinyl and painted on the lipstick and added the blush on the cheeks.  So cute!

Fun and sassy hair accessory with bendable wire inside makes it easy to wear. Just wrap it around your head and twist the ends to create your bow and VOILA!… it sits perfectly in place AND stays in place. No Tying…Just Twist and Go.

They are super cute with any outfit. You can wear them with casual outfits…you can wear them with dressy outfits.

Great for bad hair days!!!
